Originating from technical forms of dance such as ballet and jazz, contemporary is ever-changing, always pushing the boundaries.
Contemporary is known for its use of floor work, contract & release, and unpredictable changes in rhythm and direction.
This style demonstrates the strength, athleticism, and emotion of being a dancer.
Lyrical focuses on the softer, flowing movements of contemporary.
Dancers learn how to use the floor, gravity and their body weight to dance.
We develop skills like rolls, leg swings, dynamic leaps and travelling in & out of the floor.
For ages 9+ years. Some previous dance experience is recommended.
60 minute class, once per week.
