Pointe Technique Classes
Our pointe technique classes are designed to support safe, structured, and progressive pointe training. These short, focused sessions allow dancers to build strength, refine technique, and develop confidence en pointe, alongside their regular ballet syllabus classes.

Both pointe classes run for 30 minutes and are taken in addition to a ballet technique class.

All students will only begin pointe work after successfully passing a pre-pointe assessment, which carefully considers strength, control, and alignment.
Students must be a minimum of 11 years old to begin pointe training.
Beginner Pointe Technique
This class is ideal for students who are:
-
Preparing for their pre-pointe assessment, or
-
Have recently passed their assessment and are in their first one to two years of pointe training
The focus is on developing the essential foundations required for safe pointe work, including foot and ankle strength, correct alignment, turnout support, and controlled articulation. Progress is monitored closely, and exercises are adapted to suit each dancer’s individual readiness.

Advanced Pointe Technique
The Advanced Pointe Technique class is designed for dancers with two or more years of pointe experience who are ready to further refine their technique and build strength and consistency.
This class aligns with our Advanced Foundation and above ballet levels and focuses on improved control, musicality, endurance, and clean execution of more complex pointe exercises, while continuing to prioritise injury prevention and safe progression.

Structure of the Dance Year
These classes focus on technique year-round and don't follow the production and exam schedule.
